Minerals and Waste Development Scheme

The Minerals and Waste Development Scheme (PDF, 327.04KB) sets out the timetable for policy preparation. It outlines the documents that we will produce. These include Local Plans, the Statement of Community Involvement and Supplementary Planning Documents.

The timetable lays out each stage for producing documents. It’s revised regularly to let the public know when future consultations are happening.

The current scheme was adopted in November 2019 to identify the timetable relating to the forthcoming Minerals Local Plan Review. Work on the Minerals Local Plan Review has been delayed by the ongoing pandemic. So a revised Minerals and Waste Development Scheme will need to be agreed. This new timetable will be agreed by Cabinet following an assessment of comments received as part of the Regulation 18 consultation on the Minerals Local Plan Review, closing on 29 April 2021.
