Apply for a Blue Badge

If you do not automatically qualify for a Blue Badge, you may be asked to attend an Independent Mobility Assessment, or IMA.

This is an in-person assessment conducted by a fully qualified physiotherapist or occupational therapist, who specialises in mobility and have undertaken additional training to conduct Blue Badge assessments in line with the Department for Transport’s (DfT) national criteria.

The assessment will be carried out by Ascenti, our assessment provider, who will contact you directly to book an appointment at one of the various locations across the county.  

If you have been requested to attend an IMA, you must attend, otherwise we'll be unable to proceed with your application.
