Early intervention support

Our Early Help and Wellbeing team can help people who have difficulties with their wellbeing and low-level mental health difficulties like:

  • anxiety
  • low mood
  • depression

The team will support people with or without a diagnosis. They focus on the goals someone wants to achieve to improve their wellbeing, including their social situation.

What they offer

The team includes social workers, occupational therapists, support workers and an employment specialist. They can work with you to:

  • manage your mood
  • feel more confident
  • return to work or education
  • meet people and join local activities
  • become more independent
  • achieve your goals

Support usually lasts between 3 and 9 months.

Eligibility

You can refer yourself if you:

  • live in Essex
  • are aged between 18 and 65
  • have mental health concerns
  • are neurodivergent
  • have a mild learning disability
  • feel emotionally distressed or lack confidence
  • have a social care issue, or care for someone who does
