Community funding

The Essex Lottery supports community projects across Essex. Charities, community groups and other good causes can sign up for free and raise funds through ticket sales. Residents can support their chosen good cause and win cash prizes by playing the Essex Lottery for just £1 a week.

The Community Initiative Fund includes various community grant schemes funded by Essex County Council. You can find out more about the funds and how to apply from Essex Association of Local Councils (EALC).

Covid-19 response fund

Voluntary organisations and community groups in Essex can apply for up to £50,000 of funding to help to respond to the pandemic.

Applications must be received by 30 June 2021.

In addition, Essex Community Foundation offers grants up to £20,000 to voluntary and community sector organisations and Essex Association of Local Councils offers small grants up to £5,000 for Covid-19 response work. The deadline for both schemes is 30 June 2021.
