The Essex Apprenticeship Hub and Essex Youth Service are hosting a free careers event. 16 to 25-year-olds are invited to join them on Thursday 14 September.

The event, called ‘Get Sorted’, will take place at the Southern Hay Youth Centre. It will give attendees the chance to meet local employers and training providers.

Support will be given those who have not yet secured training, education or a job. The event aims to help young people who have recently received exam results, finished college or university and are unsure about their next steps.

As well as local training providers, attendees can meet a range of employers, including:

  • Essex Police
  • Morgan Sindall Property Services
  • Essex County Council Entry to Work Team

These organisations will offer insights into working and training with them. Attendees will also be able to apply for live vacancies.

Young people can also talk to our Apprenticeship Hub. This small team of experts helps young people to understand, apply for and secure apprenticeships. They also support businesses to offer apprenticeships and other opportunities.

The Apprenticeship Hub team will be offering free careers and application advice on the day. They will also help attendees to understand the different training and job opportunities across Essex.

There is no need to register for the event. Attendees can turn up at the Southernhay Youth Centre between 11am and 2pm on Thursday 14 September to get involved.
