Free, non-judgemental guidance on a range of health topics will be available for residents of Essex at a special event at Clacton Airshow.

Working with North East Essex Health and Wellbeing Alliance, we are bringing our Healthier Habits Hub initiative to The Sunspot, Jaywick Sands, on Thursday 21 August.

From 10am to 1pm, residents will be able receive free advice and support on a range of topics.

The event is taking place on day-one of the Clacton Airshow. This is an exciting free event hosted by Tendring District Council which brings thousands of residents and visitors to the town’s seafront.

Support available at the Healthier Habits Hub at Jaywick Sunspot will include:

  • the Roy Castle Lung Cancer Foundation showcasing its Mega Lung, a 12ft x 15ft inflatable set of lungs which show the impacts of lung health
  • information on the support available from voluntary organisations from CVS Tendring
  • guidance on community health services from Provide
  • information on free bikes for eligible residents from Essex Pedal Power
  • free and confidential support to young people aged 11 to 18 from UTurn4Support
  • advice on reducing energy bills and grants to make homes more efficient from Community Energy Pathways
