Apply, renew or pay for a Blue Badge
You can apply for a Blue Badge online.
You can apply for yourself, someone else or an organisation.
Register and apply online
You will need to set up an account before you apply. We'll ask you to give your email address and set a password.
You can also use this form to renew a badge.
It's very important you attach all of the appropriate information and supporting evidence to your application so that it is not delayed.
Beware of scams
It's free to apply for a Blue Badge. There's a £10 fee to cover the cost of sending a badge if you're successful.
Please be aware of Blue Badge scams where you may be charged more than £10 for an application. These websites are not associated with the Blue Badge service and the application form supplied by these websites is not accepted by local authorities.
We'll normally be in touch within 4 weeks of you applying. It can take up to 10 weeks to fully process your application. This is because we may need you to attend a mobility assessment or require further evidence from you.
Logging into your account
Once you've registered and applied, you can use your online account to:
- start or continue a saved application
- track your progress
- send documents
- make payments
If you need to update your details, let us know.
Saving your progress
If you have saved your application, you will get an email each time you click ‘Save’ with a link to access the application again.
Ensure you are using the most recent email you have received as each link will change each time.
If you haven't received the emails, check your junk folder.
If you did not click ‘Save’ or ‘Submit', your application will not have been stored and you will need to start again.Print this page
