Arranging travel to your home

Welcome Point at Stansted aiport

The council, along with our partners, have set up a Welcome Point for Ukrainians arriving at Stansted airport.

This is adjacent to the Arrivals Hall and is staffed by volunteers. They can answer any questions, provide support and can also access interpretation services if needed.

The Welcome Point is a good spot to arrange to meet up with your guests, if you will be collecting them from the airport.

Free onward travel to your home

If you are unable to meet your guests, you should provide them with instructions on how to reach you from their chosen point of arrival.

Your guests will be eligible for a single onward journey via National Rail, light rail, bus and coach, free of charge to your destination anywhere in England, Scotland and Wales. They can also travel free across London using London Underground, Docklands Light Railway (DLR) and London bus and tram services.

They will need to show their Ukrainian passport and boarding pass or ticket showing arrival into the country within the last 48 hours.
